How is it already November?!

Hi Kindergarten Families!

It is so crazy how fast this year is flying by & we are already in our 3rd month of school! This week was a short but fun filled week. We enjoyed dancing in our costumes, praying for All Soul's Day, and making beaded corn! This week we read Hot Rod Hamster (our star student Preston's favorite book!).

This week was our review week in ELA! We reviewed all of our sight words by spinning the Wheel of Words. We reviewed the letters and sounds of t, b, f, m, n, i, u, c, and o. We have even begun to teach each other, which is wonderful! We did not have a letter person fly in from the "Land of the Letter People" this week, and instead reviewed all the letter people we have met so far. In math we begun Chapter 3, which focuses on position words. We have learned above & below, and top, middle, and bottom. In Religion we dedicated candles to those that are up in Heaven with Jesus for All Soul's Day. In music, they begun practicing their songs for the Christmas Concert (December 6th)! In Library the students read How The Crayons Saved School, and played soccer in Gym! Due to our short week we did not do centers, but we are very excited to start them up again next week!

Next Week:
  • Tuesday: School Mass @ 9 AM, all are more than welcome to join us!
  • Thursday: Gym & Library Day!
  • Friday: Veteran's Day Presentation by Mr. Lauber! Also, an author visit by Mike Allegra. Mike Allegra has written the story called Sleepy Happy Capy Cuddles.
