Week of May 8th

Here's to a new week Kindergarten!

Happy Monday! We hope you all had a wonderful time at the Mother's Day Luncheon! 🌼 Also that you had a lovely day yesterday feeling loved & appreciated by all! Countdown to graduation is officially 13 days!

We took our Unit 5 ELA test last week! The children did excellent and test folders will be sent home later this week. After our test we moved into our final unit of the year! In ELA last week when reading Kitten's First Full Moon we focused on conclusions and visualizing while reading as a comprehension strategy. We continue substituting, segmenting, and blending sounds to create and change words. We created sentences with our new sight words: do, went, just, down, little, and only. We have officially met our last letter person - can you believe it?! Our letter of the week was 'Qq'! We met Mr. Q with Questions! We completed our Mr. Q puppet. In math we continued through Chapter 11 by comparing height, measuring length, and measuring distance. In Religion we crowned Mary each day and said a decade of the rosary. We also made a Mary in the grotto activity!
